Cohen Holds for a Double

Niveau 26 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Nir Cohen raised to 605,000 in the cutoff and Frederic Normand shipped all in from the big blind. Cohen scouted out the room before calling off his last 50,000 chips.

Nir Cohen: 66
Frederic Normand: A7

The flop came J93 and Cohen was still out front with his pocket sixes. The K on the turn gave Normand the best flush draw but the K on the river bricked out, allowing Cohen to double up.

"I'm bad at all-ins today," Normand grumbled as he shook his head.

Phil Ivey could make history Thursday at the $50,000 Poker Players Championship if he were to take down the bracelet, which would be his first title at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) since 2014.

The widely accepted poker G.O.A.T. is one of three players — Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson are the others — tied for second all-time with 10 WSOP bracelets. Phil Hellmuth, with 16 titles, is the record holder. But there could be just one player sitting in second place within the next 24 hours.
