The "Infamous" Reele Scores a Knockout

Niveau 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

An early position player moved all in, and next to act, Max Reele came over the top with an all in of his own. Everyone else folded, Reele flipped over pocket queens, his opponent KJ, and it was off to the flop.

The 425 flop didn't give his opponent any help, but he gained a sliver of life with a J turn. A 2 cinched the knockout and a nice pot for Reele.

"PokerNews is going to make you famous," a tablemate said. "Or infamous!" another quipped.

"Infamous is better than famous. It's more than famous," joked Reele.

Not This Time For Rodrigues

Michael Rodrigues
Michael Rodrigues

Portuguese player Michael Rodrigues is having an extraordinary summer so far. He won the first $1,500 Limit Badugi event and made two other final tables in both $1,500 and $10,000 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball events.

Rodrigues just late registered this $500 Freezeout with ten big blinds and went all in quite fast under the gun.

Michael Rodrigues: 89

The board ran out 3676Q and Rodrigues joined the rail quite early for his habit.

Kings at the Right Time for Aranas

Niveau 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Cutoff Jeff Aranas, who cashed in this event last year, immediately called an all in from an early position player, putting the majority of Aranas' stack at risk.

Early Position: J10
Jeff Aranas: KK

The K83 flop gave Aranas another king, his opponent couldn't manufacture a draw on the 4 turn, and Aranas got the much-needed double up.

Niveau 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Moshi Moshi a Set

Niveau 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

William Kitzerow was in the middle of doubling up when he called PokerNews over to let then know about how and why he doubled up in this particular hand.

Kitzerow claims he had folded fives multiple times leading up to this and they kept on making a set whenever he threw them in the muck.

On a board reading 385 Kitzerow ended up at risk against Lawrence Beach, who had him covered about two to one.

William Kitzerow: 55
Lawrence Beach: JJ

The turn and river ran out the 9 and 10, keeping Kitzerow's set in front for a full double and then some.

This canine loving poker player wanted to dedicate the winning of this pot to his dog Moshi, who was featured here at the WSOP before but unfortunately passed away in April of this year. Moshi was 16 years old and he attributes his good dog's luck to his good fortune moving forward.
