Ziegelbecker Gets There with a Wrap to Eliminate Verenko
Niveau 20
: Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
With about 300,000 already in the middle the flop read A♦10♥8♠ and Oswin Ziegelbecker pushed a stack and a half of red chips across the line. Roman Verenko was the only opponent in the hand and took some time before calling off the rest of his stack of about 75,000.
Roman Verenko: Q♣Q♥5♥4♥
Oswin Ziegelbecker: K♠J♣9♥7♣
Verenko's queens were the best hand at the time but he wasn't able to fade the wrap of Ziegelbecker as the board completed with the J♥ turn and A♠ river.
