Franco Felted by Ashegh
Niveau 23
: 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Sonny Franco in the cutoff had most of his short stack in the middle already with a pot-sized raise, and he was called by Orod Ashegh. The flop came A♠Q♠4♥ and Franco jammed for the 75,000 he had behind. Ashegh sighed and called, mentioning that the ace was the only card he didn't want to see.
Sonny Franco: A♥10♣8♣3♥
Orod Ashegh: K♦K♥Q♦6♠
The Q♣ turn improved Ashegh to trips queens and he asked for a deuce. Instead, the river brought the K♠ and that was good enough to eliminate Franco with a set of kings.
