The Shorter Stacks Are Drawing Closer
Niveau 31
: Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Stanislav Halatenko opened the action with a raise to 600,000 with the Q♣8♣7♥5♠ and Travis Pearson called on the button with the A♠K♦10♥9♠. The Q♠J♠9♦ flop gave Pearson the nut straight with the nut flush draw and Halatenko checked, triggering a bet worth 800,000 by Pearson and a snap-fold from his opponent.
Peng Shan then raised it up to 600,000 on the button with the 10♥9♥9♦8♥ for Halatenko to defend the A♠J♥7♦4♦. The flop came Q♣Q♦10♣ and both players checked to the J♠ turn. Halatenko checked again and Shan bet 450,000 with the bottom end of the straight.
Halatenko folded and lost another small pot.
