Garza Takes From Halatenko
Niveau 32
: Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Stanislav Halatenko opened preflop action by betting 750,000 from the hijack holding K♠Q♠7♣6♠. Lou Garza, the big blind, came along with J♦9♥8♠5♥.
Garza checked the 9♣8♥Q♣ flop. Halatenko led out for 425,000 and was called.
The turn was the 8♦, and Garza checked with eights full. Halatenko led out for 950,000, unknowingly drawing dead. Garza considered his next move for a minute, and made the call.
The A♥ arrived on the river, and Garza checked once more. Halatenko checked behind, denying Garza a bit of extra value but still awarding him a nice-sized pot.
