Erik Seidel Eliminated in 5th Place ($31,114)
Jason Mercier opened for 160,000 from the cutoff and small blind Mike Watson called. From the big blind Erik Seidel moved all in for 1,285,000. Mercier folded, and Watson called.
Watson rapped the table, and Seidel tanked for the longest period of time he has all tournament. As he made a decision for his tournament life he pulled a stack of pink 5,000 chips back from his stack to riffle, sat with a hand on his head, and made a long exhale. He separated one card from his hand and slid it forward.
Watson showed 10x7x6x3x2x and Seidel had made the right decision by breaking his 10x9x8x5x3x to draw to a nine.
Unfortunately for Seidel, he caught a queen and his awe-inspiring quest for a tenth WSOP came to an end.
