Break Time

Niveau 4 : Blinds 200/400, 600 ante

Players have been sent on their second 15-minute break of the day. They will return to blinds of 300/500 with an ante of 800.

On Pace for Another Record-Setting Event

Niveau 4 : Blinds 200/400, 600 ante

With 298 entrants so far, this year's edition of this event has surpassed every previous year except last year (437). With four levels of late registration still remaining, and many players playing out the string in other events, it seems likely that this year will also be record-breaking.

Nine-Eight No Good for Owen

Niveau 4 : Blinds 200/400, 600 ante

Adam Owen opened to 1,400 from under the gun and was called by Allen Kessler in the cutoff. A player on the button then three-bet to 5,200, receiving a call from Owen and a fold from Kessler.

Both players took one card with Owen following that up with a bet of 8,000. His opponent thought for some time before calling. Owen tabled 9x8x6x4x2x but came up short against the 9x6x4x3x2x of his opponent to send the British pro's stack sliding back down to a little under starting.

Calling the Clock

On the eighth episode of “Calling the Clock,” Chad Holloway and Jesse Fullen cover eight more topics “On the Board.” That included who they like for Poker Hall of Fame, Brian Rast winning the $50,000 Poker Players Championship for the third time, and Phil Ivey making the final table, just missing out on his eleventh bracelet.

They also highlight Jeremy Ausmus winning his sixth bracelet, the upcoming PokerNews Cup at Golden Nugget, the July 2 Celebration of Life for Doyle Brunson, and Phil Hellmuth arriving in costume with his tag team partner Dan “Jungleman” Cates.

Check out those stories and more in the latest “Calling the Clock” straight from the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP)!

Bohlman Goes For It All

Niveau 4 : Blinds 200/400, 600 ante

Scott Bohlman opened to 1,000 on the button and then called after the small blind three-bet to 2,700.

The small blind stood pat while Bohlman chose to draw two after which the small blind led out for 3,000. Bohlman responded by moving all in with the covering stack, putting his opponent through the grinder. The small blind ultimately chose to fold rather than risk their tournament life while Bohlman added more to his large stack.

Seiver Hops In, Gets Aggressive

Niveau 4 : Blinds 200/400, 600 ante

Scott Seiver had just hopped into the tournament and quickly found himself involved in a hand. A player opened to 1,200 from middle position and was called by Benny Glaser in the small blind. Seiver then three-bet to 6,000 out of the big blind, getting a fold from the original raiser. Glaser mulled over his decision but eventually opted to release his holding to send the pot to Seiver.
