Brenes Moving Into Contention
Niveau 8
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Humberto Brenes in middle position bet 2,800 and was called by the cutoff and the big blind. Brenes continued on the A♥10♦3♦ flop for 3,000. The cutoff folded but the big blind made the call.
Both players checked the 4♣ on the turn, but Brenes bet 5,000 on the 10♠ river. The big blind opted to fold and Costa Rica's all-time highest earner in tournament poker raked in the pot.
