Garcia Backs Into a Straight
Niveau 11
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Cord Garcia limped under the gun, as did the cutoff, and the big blind checked his option.
The flop came K♥9♣3♣ and the big blind checked before Garcia made a bet of 6,500. The cutoff folded and the big blind made the call.
"I know what you have," said Garcia to the big blind. "I can read you like a book."
The J♣ hit the turn and both players checked to see the 7♠ on the river.
The big blind checked and Garcia fired out a bet of 17,000. The big blind made the call and Garcia tabled A♥A♦10♥8♠ for a straight and his opponent mucked his hand.
