Shaun Deeb, who had recently been reduced to a short stack, moved all in from the big blind for 138,000 with the board showing J♣3♦9♣3♠9♦. Varahram Vardjavand, in middle position, considered whether or not to call.
After thinking for a minute, he put a small stack of chips in front of him. After confirming with the dealer that the call had been made, Deeb turned over A♠K♦Q♠6♦.
"Jack," said Vardjavand, turning over A♦K♠J♠4♣ to eliminate Deeb.
Jared Jaffee raised to 20,000 from early position and Moshe Refaelowitz moved all-in from the big blind for his remaining 127,000, which Jaffee called.
Moshe Refaelowitz: A♣Q♥
Jared Jaffee: J♣10♠
Refaelowitz would need to hold to stay alive and the A♦K♣6♣ flop would further extend his lead, but Jaffee could find a queen for the elimination.
However, the 8♠ turn and the 7♣ river would close the door and give Refaelowitz the full double.

Koji Fujimoto: A♦K♥
Jacek Piontke: A♣A♥
Fujimoto would need a lot of help after the flop came 6♣10♦9♠. The Q♣ turn gave him a shot at Broadway, but the 10♣ sent him to the payout window as Piontke added to his stack.
In a hand between Brandon Shack-Harris and Zachary Grech, both in middle position, Grech checked to Shack-Harris on the 8♥ river for a well-connected board reading 10♣9♦3♥4♥8♥.
After a few moments in the tank, Grech put in the calling chips and mucked when Shack-Harris tabled A♠10♠ for top pair tens.
With the board showing 8♥Q♣Q♠10♠, Kamel Mokhammad bet 28,000 from the big blind. Stephen Krestynick, the button, made the call.
Both players checked the Q♦ river. Mokhammad showed K♥J♣ and played both of his cards as kickers. Krestynick showed A♣K♣ and won with the higher kicker.
Ryan Smith, who won two Circuit Rings during a single stop back in May 2022, raised to 20,000 from late position and Motoyoshi Okamura moved all-in from the small blind for 75,000, which Smith called.
Motoyoshi Okamura: A♥6♠
Ryan Smith: A♣K♠
Okamura would need to spike a six or some four-card straight or flush outs, but the final runout of 2♥7♦5♣K♥10♥ would send the 2021 champion of this event to the payout desk.
