Yuval Bronshtein
Yuval Bronshtein

Yuval Bronshtein was all in preflop from the small blind against William Kopp from under the gun.

Yuval Bronshtein: AJ84
William Kopp: AKK6

The JJQ flop pulled Bronshtein into the lead with trips, but the 10 turn gave Kopp broadway.

The 6 river failed to improve Bronshtein and he was eliminated in 10th place.

Yuval Bronshtein raised to 280,000 from under the gun and William Kopp three-bet to 500,000. Anthony Zinno called cold on the button. Philipp Krieger called in the big blind and Bronshtein called all in for less.

The flop came 8104 and Krieger shoved for his remaining stack. Kopp raised the pot and Zinno let his hand go after a lengthy tank.

Philipp Krieger: KQJ10
Yuval Bronshtein: 7755
William Kopp: AQ102

The A turn and 3 river completed the board — leaving Kopp with the high and Bronshtein with the low and eliminating Kriger in 11th place.

Linster Doubles Through Kopp

Niveau 26 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Mike Linster
Mike Linster

William Kopp and Mike Linster were heads-up on a 3210 flop. Kopp checked from the small blind and Linster bet 175,000 on the button. Kopp then raised to 745,000 and Linster called.

The A fell on the turn and Kopp bet the size of the pot. Linster quickly shoved for just over three million and Kopp called to put Linster at risk.

Mike Linster: AK54
William Kopp: A764

Linster held the wheel and Kopp's flush draw bricked out on the J river — awarding Linster the scoop and full double up in the massive pot.

Rodrigues on Verge of Second Bracelet and POY Lead in $1,500 PLO8

Michael Rodrigues
Michael Rodrigues

With a play style as flashy as his crocs & socks combos, Michael Rodrigues has made quite the splash this summer en route to becoming a major player in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year race.

Rodrigues currently sits sixth in the POY standings, but if he can take his already deep run in Event #66: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better a bit further or even win, he’ll be at the top of the list.

The Portuguese star, who already has a bracelet this summer, enters the day second in chips behind William Kopp, but he’s shown throughout the WSOP that he isn’t afraid to play big pots, sometimes with unorthodox hands, as demonstrated Thursday in his ascent up the leaderboard.

Rodrigues and Kopp will still have to navigate a field with ten remaining opponents including bracelet winners Yuval Bronshtein, Loni Hui, Anthony Zinno, and Aaron Wallace. That’s not even to mention players like John Goyette, Mike Linster, and Sterling Savill who join Rodrigues and Kopp with over three million chips to start the day.
