Silverman Scores Unlikely Double-Up

Following a raise from Robert Campbell (NV), who shares his name with the Australian WSOP Player of the Year, Joseph Silverman moved all in for approximately 75,000. Campbell called and Silverman was at risk.

Robert Campbell (NV): A♣6♣5♥4♠

The flop came Q♥9♠8♣ improving neither player, nor did the J♦ turn. leaving Campbell's ace-six ahead for an unlikely win.

That is until Silverman called for a three, which the dealer provided with the 3♦ on the river to give him a winning pair of threes. and the double-up.

Robert Campbell raised to 34,000 on the button and was called by Kyle Emerson in the big blind.

Emerson bet pot on the 3♥10♥2♦ flop, leaving himself just several thousand behind, and Campbell raised enough to put Emerson all in. Emerson called off for his remaining stack and hands were revealed.

The 10♦ turn gave Campbell a superior two pair and the 9♠ river bricked out for Emerson — eliminating him from contention.

Sokchheka Pho was heads-up from the big blind against Michael Estes, who was in early position, on a A♦9♣8♠ flop.

Pho check-called a 40,000 bet from Estes and then both players checked on the J♠ turn.

The 10♥ completed the board and Pho led out for 45,000. Estes tanked for a while but eventually committed calling chips into the middle and Pho tabled A♠A♣Q♦3♥ for a set of aces. Estes couldn't beat it and mucked — conceding the pot to Pho.

Gonzalez Pots it on Pais

Following a limp in middle position from Loni Hui, Mauricio Pais made it 60,000 in the hijack and got called by Miguel Gonzalez in the cutoff. Hui folded and the pot went heads-up to a flop of J♦A♥7♥.

Pais checked, and Gonzalez bet the size of the pot,174,000. Pais paused briefly, then opted to fold and send the pot to his neighbor to his left.

WSOP Player of the Year contender Michael Rodrigues is building himself a stack today, taking down a pot which has been one of many.

In a four way limped pot, Rodrigues was under the gun on a flop of 10♦4♠Q♥ when he bet 25,000. Sokchheka Pho called in the cutoff, Anthony Zinno folded his small blind and Michael Estes called in the big blind.

The players checked the 8♦ turn and 6♦ river, with Rodrigues showing A♣10♣10♠5♣ for a set of tens and a low with his ace-five which was good enough to scoop the pot.
