Louis Russo Eliminated in 24th Place ($19,020)

Niveau 38 : Blinds 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante
Louis Russo
Louis Russo

Action folded to Nikhil Nair in the small blind who went all in having the big blind covered. Louis Russo was in the big blind and called.

Louis Russo: AJ
Nikhil Nair: K8

The J43 flop was great for Russo as he hit top pair and neither player had a club in their hand. Unfortunately, the K turn and K river would seal the deal and send Russo to the rail in 24th place.

Young and Russo; Same but Different

Niveau 38 : Blinds 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

Michael Young went all in from early position and was called by Louis Russo, who had about the same sized stack.

Michael Young: AK
Louis Russo: AK

The flop was innocuous as it fanned out QK4, but when the 5 rolled off it gave Russo a chance to scoop, as he had just picked up the nut flush draw. The river was a sigh of relief for Young as the 10 came off the top of the deck.

Just two hands later Young went all in through his own initiative but just picked up the blinds, showing AQ.

Action was joined with two players all in. Day 2 chip leader Jesse Kertland was all in and at risk and had been called by Pete Chen.

The cards hit their backs.

Jesse Kertland: A4
Pete Chen: AJ

The full board ran out 36JA4 and although both players hit two pair, only Chen would drag the pot. Kertland hit the rail after an impressive showing.

Gabriel Jansen Falcao Baleeiro Eliminated in 26th Place ($19,020)

Niveau 37 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Gabriel Jansen Falcao Baleeiro
Gabriel Jansen Falcao Baleeiro

Gabriel Baleeiro went three ways to a flop of 108A but only had one chip left behind. This is something that Darrick Arreola hadn't realized and when he did, he tried to bet the one chip. The dealer informed him he had to bet at least one big bind, as Moshe Refaelowitz was still in the hand. Baleeiro and Refaelowitz called.

Three ways to a turn, they saw the 8 and when Refaelowitz placed a wager, Arreola snap-folded.

The dealer forgot to table the all-in player's hand and when the 10 rolled off the river, Refaelowitz showed J9 for the nut straight and Baleeiro shook his head in disappointment before launching his hand in the muck.

Manuel Bravo Martins Eliminated in 27th Place ($15,420)

Niveau 37 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Manuel Bravo Martins
Manuel Bravo Martins

With a pay jump of over $3,000 between 27th and 26th place, Manuel Bravo Martins put all but one of his chips in the middle. When the player to his left pushed forward a stack to ask for the rest, the table folded around.

Martins took another minute in his decision, but eventually the clock was called and the floor determined he would get another minute before a thirty-second count down. He did end up flicking the chip in and putting himself at risk.

Manuel Bravo Martins: A7
Pete Chen: K10

Martins was ahead with ace high going to a flop of Q36. The turn was doom for Martins as the K peeled, making it so he had to catch an ace to survive, but the river peeled the 6 instead.

Barkoff Can't Find a King

Niveau 37 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Ken Barkoff went all in from late position and was rather deflated when Moshe Refaelowitz announced a call.

Ken Barkoff: K7
Moshe Refaelowitz: 1010

The flop was 42Q, leaving Barkoff looking for a king, but it never came as the 8 and A rolled off. Refaelowitz scooped the pot with a pair of kings and the players are now redrawing for the final three tables.

Arreola Taking Command

Niveau 37 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Denis Lee opened from late position and was called by Darrick Arreola on the button. Lee and Arreola have both been building their stack up throughout the day.

Heads up they saw a flop of 567. Lee continued with a bet of 2,100,000 and Arreola made the call.

The turn peeled the 4 and Lee slowed down with a check. Arreola took the green light and declared a bet for 5,000,000, jokingly annoyed he had to count the chips out, as Lee didn't fold right away. After some thought, Lee did fold and Arreola continued to build his mountain of chips.
