Lamanna Picks One Up

Niveau 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The action folded to the cutoff who opened for 40,000 and only Brian Lamanna made the call in the big blind.

The flop came AQJ and Lamanna check-called a bet of 30,000 from the cutoff. On the 3 turn and again on the 4 river, both players checked their options to a showdown.

Lamanna tabled A5 for top pair and scored the pot when his opponent mucked their hand.

Yeh Wins Back-to-Back Pots

Niveau 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #1:

Yi-Cheng Yeh opened under the gun to 40,000. Next to act called and the big blind defended.

The 4107 flop landed and the big blind opted to lead for about half pot to 60,000. Yeh tank called and the third player folded. The turn brought a 3 and action checked through. The Q river hit the felt and action checked to Yeh who put out 75,000. The big blind couldn't keep up the story any longer and hit cards hit the muck.

Hand #2:

A middle position player opened to 55,000 and the button called. Action was then on Yeh in the big blind who didn't think for long before announcing all in having both players covered. The original raiser folded and the button went into the tank but eventually called it off.

Button Player: KQ
Yi-Cheng Yeh: JJ

It was a classic flip going to a run out of 47A68 which left Yeh with a pile of chips and his opponent heading to the rail.

Someone Catches Quads...

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

This hand was relayed to PokerNews by Andrew Clarke just before break's end:

Five ways to a flop of 932, there were four checks to the preflop aggressor who placed a wager of 60,000. The small blind called, Andre Clarke called, the player to his left raised to 170,000, and the next player went all in for 900,000, Clarke made the call and the player in between folded.

There would be no more action as they went heads up to the turn and river.

Andrew Clarke: 22
Late Position Player: 99

Both players had flopped a set, leaving Clarke drawing to one out; he found it right away, though, as the 2 peeled the turn and was awarded the pot when the 6 fell with the elusive four of a kind.

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

All of the chips went in the middle before the flop and Kenny Velez was at risk for about 700,000 against Victor Paulino.

Kenny Velez: KK
Victor Paulino: QQ

Velez was in great shape to double until the dealer spread a flop of AQ5, giving Paulino a set of queens. Velez couldn't find one of the last kings as the board completed with the 3 on the turn and the 8 on the river.

It was a classic flip situation, but when the board ran out Q638Q, it was the ace-queen that made trips to score the pot and send his opponent to the rail.
