In three-way action to the river, Farhad Jamasi and defending champion Robert Cowen checked a board of 9♠5♠3♣6♠4♦. Michael Duek bet 70,000 and Jamasi quickly folded. Cowen gave it brief consideration and then folded, too, but not before exposing the 8♠ face up.
"I was going for the middle," Cowen said.
"Micky in the Middle," Erick Lindgren replied.
Defending champion Cowen and last year's runner-up Dash Dudley share the same table and both have decent stacks.
