Loeffler and Obst Double Near the Bubble
Niveau 19
: Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Pakinai Lisawad took on Kilian Loeffler in a preflop contest with the latter at risk for 475,000.
Kilian Loeffler: A♥Q♠J♥8♦
Pakinai Lisawad: J♠9♥9♦8♠
The A♣Q♦6♥Q♣6♠ board gave Loeffler a full house and he doubled. "I am supposed to be live there," Lisawad grinned.
One table over, Tyler Smith raised to 150,000 from under the gun and Alex Foxen called on the button. James Obst raised the pot to 630,000 with 400,000 behind and Smith folded. Foxen moved all-in and Obst called it off.
James Obst: A♠K♥10♥2♠
Alex Foxen: A♦A♥Q♣8♥
The board ran out 10♦9♥5♠K♦8♠ and Obst escaped with two pair, kings and tens.
