Patrick Leonard limped in the small blind and Michael Wang checked his option out of the big blind.
Leonard checked following the 5♥7♠9♠ flop and then called after Wang led out for 2,000.
The 10♦ turn saw Leonard check for a second time. Wang fired another barrel of 6,000 and that was enough to force a fold from Leonard.

On the latest PokerNews Podcast episode, Chad Holloway and Jesse Fullen continue The Chad & Jesse Poker Show straight from the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP).
They are joined by none other than Daniel Negreanu, who took a break from his busy summer schedule to talk about a plethora of topics including what it’s been like running deep in the lower buy-in, big field events, interacting with fans, and how he feels about his performance thus far.
Negreanu also offers his thoughts on the Poker Hall of Fame, including who he thinks will get in and the changes he’d like to see moving forward. Finally, “Kid Poker” offers his prediction for the 2023 WSOP Main Event, which is also the first big topic discussed by the hosts.
Chad and Jesse then do a new "Calling the Clock" segment in which they offer quick two-minute dialogues for topics on “The Board.”

On a heads-up flop of K♣4♥7♣, Phil Hellmuth led out from the small blind for 2,500 and the big blind made the call.
The two players checked through the turn 7♥ and went straight to the river Q♥.
"Twenty-thousand," Hellmuth announced as he slid out four red chips.
"Wow, why so much," his opponent inquired, and then flashed the K♦ as he folded.
"I mean, check," Hellmuth smiled as he raked in the pot.
"Congrats Phil, you bet just the right amount to get a king to fold!" One of the other players joked.

Trace Henderson opened to 3,000 from the hijack and then the small blind clicked it 8,500. Action folded back around to Henderson who then moved all in for 35,000.
"The good news is, I don't have a really good hand, but i may want to gamble," the small blind told him.
After thinking about it for another minute, he shrugged and made the call to put Henderson at risk.
Trace Henderson: A♥7♥
Small Blind: 9♣10♣
The board ran out A♣3♠8♥Q♥2♦ for Henderson to win the pot with his pair of aces and he secured the double-up. He then picked up a pot the very next hand to increase his stack to 90,000.

Roman Emelyanov, the big blind, checked a flop of K♣2♦Q♥. A player in early position bet 3,000, and Emelyanov came along.
The 10♣ arrived on the turn, with Emelyanov again checking. His opponent bet 6,000, which Emelyanov then raised to 15,000. His opponent made the call.
The 8♦ arrived on the river. "All in," said Emelyanov, pushing forward his last 41,000. His opponent asked for a count - making the call would leave her with only 2,500 in chips. She considered for a couple of minutes before calling.
Emelyanov turned over A♥J♥ for Broadway, and his opponent mucked her cards.
