Li Gets a Late Double
Niveau 9
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Yingui Li opened from under the gun and received calls from a player in early position as well as the big blind.
The big blind checked on the 6♦5♣7♥ flop, prompting Li to lead out for 12,000. That bet was called by the early position player while the big blind got out of the way.
The 5♦ turn saw Li get his remaining chips into the middle with the early position player putting him at risk.
Yingui Li: A♠7♠7♦2♦
Early Position Player: A♦K♣4♣3♥
Li had turned a boat to best his opponent's straight and set himself up well for a double. That is exactly what happened after the 9♦ river completed the board to give Li a much needed boost late in the day.
