Kamel and Deutsch in the Lead; Sheaves Doubles
Niveau 18
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Hassan Kamel and Stephen Deutsch had won three quarters of large pots to boost their big stacks, the latter of which came at the expense of Vladimir Belekhov.
Deutsch then aimed to knock out Warren Sheaves, who got it in for 102,000 total on the button after the A♣K♠3♥ flop.
Warren Sheaves: A♠10♦9♠3♦
Stephen Deutsch: 9♥4♣4♠2♦
The A♥ turn improved Sheaves to aces full of treys and the 4♦ river failed to give Deutsch a qualifying low.
