Simao Keeps Hanging Around
Niveau 22
: Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Joao Simao raised to 105,000 in early position, leaving just 75,000 behind. Stephen Deutsch came along with a call in late position.
Simao bet 65,000 on the J♦8♦7♥ flop, Deutsch stuck the rest in, and Simao briefly glanced over at the other table before calling.
Joao Simao: A♦Q♠4♥3♦
Stephen Deutsch: A♣Q♣9♦5♠
"Not much," Deutsch said about his own hand. After the J♠ turn and A♥ river, both players played ace-queen for high, while Simao had the best low with 8-7-4-3-A to take three quarters.
