Joao Simao Eliminated in 16th Place ($24,509)
Niveau 22
: Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Joao Simao potted preflop to 105,000, leaving just 40,000 behind, and both Ben Yu and John Holley called. On the 10♠4♠4♥ flop, Holley checked, Simao bet 30,000, and Yu called.
Holley then raised to 105,000, Simao called his remaining 10,000, and Yu folded.
Joao Simao: A♣J♥4♣2♥
John Holley: K♠10♣10♥9♠
Holley had wholly smashed the flop, making the 9♣ turn and 2♦ river more or less a mere formality. Simao said his goodbyes to leave 15 players to go on break.
