Petro Wins with Weak Ace
Niveau 12
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Morgan Petro raised to 6,000 from early position and was called by a player in late position.
Petro then led out for 5,500 on a 6♦J♠2♠ flop and was subsequently raised to 12,000 by his opponent. Petro made the call.
Both players checked the A♠ turn and Petro would also check the J♦ river. That's when the player in late position put Petro to the test with a bet of 21,000.
"I don't beat much," Petro said before putting in the calling chips.
But he did beat the player in late position, who tabled 9♦9♣, which turned out to be no match for Petro's A♥10♥.
