Polerecky Saved by the Queens
Niveau 12
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
The player under the gun was wielding his big stack to his advantage when he raised to 60,000 and all of the shorter stacks behind him folded — until it came to Daniel Polerecky in the cutoff who looked down at a pair of queens and called instantly.
Daniel Polerecky: Q♣Q♠
Under the gun: 6♣6♠
Both players held black cards as the board ran out with three hearts but gave Polerecky the set with 8♥Q♥3♥. The turn K♣ and the river 5♣ were redundant and Polerecky doubled his stack.
