Creixell Takes Out Holtz

Niveau 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Michael Holtz moved all in from the small blind for 141,000. Hernan Creixell took their time to think things over before making the call.

Michael Holtz: K5
Hernan Creixell: 44

"What kind of slow roll is that?" joked Holtz, who was relieved to have two over cards. However, the board of A63J3 was not kind to the bracelet winner as Creixell's fours held.

Big Double for Peters

Niveau 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
David Peters
David Peters

Action caught up on the turn in a hand between David Peters in the big blind and a player on the button, with Peters check-raising a bet of 60,000 from the player on the button to 165,000, on a board reading 27510.

This sent the player on the button into the tank, emerging a few moments later with an announcement of all-in, which Peters quickly called.

David Peters: 107
Button Player: QQ

Peters pulled ahead with two pair on the turn and would need to hold in order to stay alive, which he was able to do after filling up on the 7 river.

Rotman Survives on Stone Bubble

Niveau 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Casey Hatmaker bet 22,000 from the cutoff. Omer Rotman moved all in from the big blind for 32,000 and was called by Hatmaker. Whilst waiting for the floor staff to come to the table Rotman went for a walk and said "I don't want to see it!"

After a brief conversation with a friend, he returned to the table as the tournament director was ready to announce the action.

Omer Rotman: AQ
Casey Hatmaker: AJ

Rotman was ahead and had a virtual lock on the hand after the flop of Q94, as Hatmaker would require either running non-diamond jacks or hit runner-runner for a straight. The 67 completed the board and Rotman survived to get into the money.

Gallois Eliminated on the Now-Burst Bubble

Niveau 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Hadrien Gallois, in the small blind, had his all-in bet called preflop by Daisuke Ogita, the cutoff. The cards were turned over, and Gallois was at risk on the stone bubble.

Hadrien Gallois: QQ
Daisuke Ogita: AK

Gallois remained ahead on the J32 flop, but Ogita paired his ace when the A hit the turn. Gallois needed help, but none arrived on the 3.

All was not lost for Hadrien, however, as a player on another table was also eliminated on the same hand.

Renan Bruschi spoke to PokerNews about that hand. Bruschi led out for 25,000 from early position on the 26Q flop. His opponent made it 70,000 from middle position, and the player behind called from late position. Bruschi jammed all in, and both players called, with the player in late position having both of his opponents covered.

Middle Position: QxJx
Renan Bruschi: 22
Late Position: XX

The board ran out 105, giving Bruschi the win and eliminating the player in middle position. That player will split the minimum cash of $1,246 with Gallois, which all remaining players are now entitled to.

Mather Survives the Bubble in Roller Coaster Hand

Niveau 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Bob Mather
Bob Mather

Action was stalled during hand-for-hand play and once the dealer got the ok to run the cards out, Bob Mather was all-in on the button for 83,000 against a player in the small blind who announced that there would be a seven on the flop.

The floor then instructed the players to reveal their cards.

Bob Mather: AA
Small Blind Player: 77

A seven was indeed needed in order to bust the bubble and the premonition would be fulfilled, as the dealer produced the 7 in the door on a 1037 flop, eliciting an eruption from the room.

However, the player in the small blind could apparently only see so far into the future as the A fell on the turn, launching Mather back into the lead and resulting in another burst of hollers from the field of players.

Mather would lock in the win on the 2 river, and get the double. Surviving to see another hand.

Yizhou Huang: KK
Big Blind: Q3

Huang's kings fell behind on the Q103 flop, as his opponent flopped two pair. The A turn provided the opportunity for Huang to get a straight, which is what happened on the J river.
