Stephane Revelly shoved all in for around 200,000 and Jon Van Fleet made the call to put him at risk.
Stephane Revelly: Q♦Q♠
Jon Van Fleet: 5♠5♥
"Oh, wow! Did not expect that!" Van Fleet was shocked at Recelly's strong holding. "I'm really lucky though, sorry in advance."
Revelly didn't have to worry too much, however, as the flop came K♥9♠Q♥ to give him middle set of queens. The turn 3♣ left Van Fleet drawing dead and the A♥ completed the board and the pot was pushed to Revelly for a double up.
Hand #2:
Jared Bluestein opened to 60,000 from the cutoff and it folded to Nick Palma on the big blind.
"Come on eight-pound six-ounce sweet baby Jesus," Palma prayed, quoting Ricky Bobby as he peeled his cards.
He then paused for a moment before raising it up to 400,000, leaving around 20,000 behind. Bluestein then went into the tank for a bit before deciding to let Palma have it and mucked his hand.
Hand #3:
Left short after his run-in with Revelly, Van Fleet moved all in himself for 180,000 but got no takers as his opponents folded one by one to award him the small pick-up.
"Yes! I finally won a hand!" he joked as he happily stacked his new chips.
Daniel Couzens moved all in from the small blind for 90,000 and Kartik Ved called from the big blind. Couzens had been biding his time patiently waiting for the right moment.
Daniel Couzens: A♠10♠
Kartik Ved: A♦2♣
Both players received an ace on the board 6♣4♣J♥3♣A♥ but Couzen's kicker would play and earn him another shot.
Dara O'Kearney moved all in from the button for 200,000 which saw Giovani Torre in the small blind move all in for more and the big blind folded.
Dara O'Kearney: K♦10♥
Giovani Torre: K♥Q♦
The flop of K♠10♠4♦ put O'Kearney ahead with top two pair while the turn A♠ gave Torre some outs in the form of a straight draw and counterfeit outs. The river came out a J♣ to give Torre Broadway and O'Kearney wished his table mates good luck as he exited the tournament.
