Thiele Underdog in Unlikely Double Elimination

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

In a hand relayed to PokerNews by Joe Thiele and a few others at the table, Thiele raised to 2,000 from middle position and was three-bet by a player on the button, with the player in the small blind moving all-in and both Thiele and the player on the button making the call.

Button: KQ
Small Blind: AK
Joe Thiele: Q2

Thiele went in with the worst of it but was able to spike a deuce on the J29 flop.

However, Thiele was not out of the woods yet, as any card ten or higher would be bad news.

But the turn 4 kept Thiele in the lead and the 2 on the river secured the double elimination.

Jean-Jacques Doubles on Unorthodox First Hand

Niveau 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action caught up to an all-in hand between France's Christophe Jean-Jacques in late position and a player in middle position.

Jean-Jacques had moved all-in on the 693 flop and before the player in middle position could make the call, the dealer burned and turned the 10 early, resulting in a floor call.

The floor instructed the dealer to shuffle the 10 back into the deck if the middle position player made the call, which is what happened, and the cards were on their backs.

Christophe Jean-Jacques: QQ
Middle Position Player: JJ

Jean-Jacques was in great shape to score the double and was able to hold on a final board of 69322.

Peacock Chips Up With Elimination

Niveau 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Art Peacock
Art Peacock

The cards were on their backs in an all-in hand between Art Peacock in late position and a player in early position for 39,000 chips on a board reading 729.

Early Position: AQ
Art Peacock: JJ

The early position player flopped a flush draw with two overcards to the board, but Peacock's pair was still best.

Peacock would need to fade quite a few cards in order to secure the elimination and fortunately, the runout would be clean in the form of the 8 turn and the 6 river.
