On a flop of 2♦8♠4♦ with 36,000 already in the pot, Phil Hui jammed from the small blind for 27,600 and got called by a player in late position to set up a runout with Hui at risk.

The turn and river came the 2♣ and 6♣, securing a full double for Hui.
In a heads-up pot with close to 8,000 in the middle on a flop showing K♥9♠2♦, Jorge Paredes checked from under the gun to his opponent in the cutoff who bet 3,000. Paredes made the call and the pair saw the A♦ turn.
Paredes checked again and the cutoff came with a size of 22,000, which Paredes called. The 9♦ hit the river and Paredes checked a third time. His opponent took a few seconds before eventually tapping the table to check back.
"No, how can you check there!?" joked Paredes to his opponent as he rolled over the stone-cold nuts with 9♣9♥Qx8x to scoop the pot with quads.
A player in late position raised to 2,000 and faced a three-bet from Allan Le on the button to 5,500. Both the big blind and the initial raiser in late position called to see the flop come 5♠J♠5♥.
Action checked through to bring the A♠ out on the turn.
The big blind and the late position player checked to Le who tossed out a bet of 8,000. The big blind called and watched as the river fell the A♥.
Both players checked to get to showdown and Le turned over the 8♠7♦6♠4♠ to win with a flush and take down another pot as he continues to chip up.
Garrett Garvin opened to 2,000 from under the gun and only Wesley Fei made the call on the button.
The flop came K♠10♠4♣ and Garvin check-called a bet of 2,000 from Fei. On the 7♠ turn Garvin checked again and Fei asked the dealer what was in the pot before tossing out a bet of 6,000. Garvin made the call and the 3♦ completed the board.
Garvin checked a third time and Fei slid out 11,000. Garvin took a moment before announcing pot for 55,000 and Fei snap called. Garvin happily tabled A♠Q♠6♣3♣ for the nut-flush to score a massive double up off "Wes Side Wesley".
Day 5 of the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event has provided some memorable moments, none more so than a huge pot played between Nicholas Rigby and Chance Kornuth, who busted in the hand.
Shortly after moving to the PokerGO feature table, Kornuth ran into a tough situation against one of the loosest and most aggressive players in the field, who also just so happened to be among the chip leaders.

The turn brought a 10♥ and the big blind checked. Zaret bet 3,500 and without thinking for too long the big blind check-raised to 10,000. Zaret called.
The river brought a J♣ and the big blind led for 20,000. Zaret thought it over for a moment and then jammed. The big blind snap called.
The big blind had K♣K♠6♠4♣ for double suited kings that flopped a set and turned a boat.
Unfortunately, for the big blind filling up on the turn was really bad news as Zaret was holding Q♥J♥A♦4♠ for a turned royal flush. That would be more than good to scoop and chip up well above average.
The PokerNews team got to the table when three players were all in preflop for roughly 40,000 each, with Sam Farha having the biggest stack.

The small blind checked and faced a bet from Loosli to 1,400. The small blind tossed in a call, prompting the dealer to burn and turn the 9♣.
Both players checked through to the 6♣ river.
The small blind checked to Loosli who bet out 5,000 and the small blind folded, sending the pot to Loosli with no showdown.
