The river was 9 and Smith checked. Mehmood bet and Smith went deep into the tank for several moments.

"Nice turn," Smith said as he tossed his hand in the muck and gave up the pot.

The flop was KQ10 and Le tossed out a bet. Pupillo called and the turn was 3.

Le bet the turn and Pupillo called to see 8 on the river. Le bet again and Pupillo thought it over.

After a few minutes of thought, Pupillo tossed out the chips to call and Le showed AJAJ for the flopped Broadway straight. Pupillo tossed the losing hand in the muck.

The 8 was the river, and Le led out again. Pupillo called once more. Le flipped over AJ104 for a straight with an eight-seven low. Pupillo turned over KJ109 for the same straight with no low, and received only a quarter of the pot.

Smith checked seventh street and called a bet from Pupillo, who turned over AK8 for aces and kings. Smith packed up the losing hand and tossed it into the muck without showing.
