On a completed board of AA10A4, DJ Alexander checked to James Mendoza before he pushed forward a bet of 100,000 into the pot of about 220,000.

Alexander thought about it for some time before making the call. Mendoza instantly tabled A5 for quads and the dealer pushed him the pot.

Hancock Plays the Squeeze

Niveau 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The player under the gun raised to 17,000 and a middle position player flatted. Michael Hancock decided it was the perfect squeeze spot and three-bet all in for 67,000. The player under the gun called and the middle position player folded. A board was looming.

Michael Hancock: 44
Under-the-Gun Player: AQ

The board arrived with 6KJJ9 and the fours somehow survived that jungle. Hancock stated, "It was the perfect squeeze spot, but I was on my way back to my room."

"Show or Muck"

Niveau 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

With about 200,000 in the middle the turn read 10857, and once checked to, Shaun Deeb put in two green chips for a bet of 50,000. His opponent check-called.

The 3 landed on the river, and both players checked. The player first to act said, "I don't have a pair."

Without a second passing, Deeb responded, "Show or muck."

Deeb was shown AJ by his opponent before he tabled K7 to drag the pot.

Aguirre Sends Opponent To The Exit

Niveau 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The action folded to a player in the small blind who moved all in for 113,000 and was snap called by Jose Aguirre in the big blind with a bigger stack.

Small Blind: 63
Jose Aguirre: A10

Aguirre had a much better hand, but would need to dodge the live cards of his opponent. The flop fanned out K53 and the small blind took the lead with a pair of threes and a flush draw. The turn, however, changed things again when the A rolled off. The 2 completed the board and Aguirre dodged the outs of his opponent to take the pot and send the small blind to the exit.

Alwin on a Heater

Niveau 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

After doubling-up twice right before dinner break, Eric Alwin was right back in the action when he called an under-the-gun raise of 18,000 and five players went to the flop.

The dealer spread a flop of 1084, and the action checked to Alwin who was in the hijack, and he announced all-in for a little over 300,000. Only the small blind made the call, putting his tournament life on the line for 132,000.

Small Blind: KQ
Eric Alwin: 1010

Alwin flopped a set, and his opponent flopped a flush draw. The Q turn and J river, meant Alwin's set was still good as he went from zero to hero in a matter of a few hands.
