Kempe Pays Off Keating
Niveau 16
: Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Rainer Kempe raised to 16,000 from the cutoff and found one caller in Alex Keating from the big blind.
Both players checked on the K♠Q♥10♠ flop and Keating led out for 15,000 on the 9♥ turn. Kempe called.
The K♣ completed the board and Keating min-bet for 8,000 — sending Kempe deep into the tank.
The clock was eventually called on Keating and he made the call with five seconds to go. Keating turned over Q♦8♣ for kings and queens and Kempe mucked — awarding the pot to Keating as the money bubble draws near.
