Silver Can't Call

Niveau 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Nate Silver raised to 20,000 on the button and was called by Anthony Hu in the big blind.

Hu check-called a 15,000 bet from Silver on the Q63 flop and checked again on the 8 turn. Silver bet 60,000 and Hu shoved for 100,000 total — sending Silver deep into the tank.

Silver eventually folded and Hu showed 86 as he collected the pot.

Obara Sends Aido to the Rail

Niveau 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Sergio Aido moved his entire short stack into the middle from the cutoff and was snap called by Jun Obara in the big blind.

Sergio Aido: A10
Jun Obara: K10

Aido, though at risk, was in an excellent spot to get a full double as he had Obara dominated. The 4610 flop spelled immediate trouble for the Spaniard as Obara picked up a flush draw. That draw came in straight away on the 2 turn to leave Aido hoping for another heart on the river for the better flush. It did not happen, however, as the 3 completed the board to bring Aido's tournament to an end shortly after the dinner break.

Peters Eliminated by Bigot in Huge Pot

David Peters
David Peters

David Peters limped in from the small blind. Fabrice Bigot raised to 36,000 from the big blind and Peters called.

Peter's check-called a bet of 40,000 from Bigot on a flop of 477.

The 6 turn saw a repeat of the action, this time Bigot sizing up to 80,000.

The river fell the 8 and Peters checked again. Bigot moved all in putting Peters to the test for his remaining 230,000. Peter made a quick call.

Peter's showed 75 for flopped trips that had improved to a straight on the river. Bigot showed 95 having gone runner-runner to make a bigger straight, eliminating Peters.

"You're running like God" Benjamin Teng at the table commented.
