Kondratenko and Shim Collide in Limit Hold'em
Niveau 14
Limit Hold'em
Action caught up to a hand between Albert Shim and Volodymyr Kondratenko, with Shim betting the river on a board reading J♥5♦3♣5♣9♣ and Kondratenko raising.
After a moment of deliberation, Shim, with only 16,000 chips remaining, decided to three-bet 10,000 of those chips, sending Kondratenko into the tank.
"Can I show my hand?" Kondratenko asked the dealer, who replied no, as it would be declared dead.
Kondratenko ultimately decided to fold face up, showing down A♠A♣.
Shim mentioned, "I cannot show, but you know you made a good fold."
