Jenkins Scores A Double Knockout
Niveau 25
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Giovanni Petroni jammed from late position for his last 230,000 and Robert Urbatsch three-bet jammed from the button for 1,015,000. Timothy Jenkins woke up with a hand in the big blind and called to set up a three-way runout with Petroni and Urbatsch at risk.
Giovanni Petroni: K♦9♦
Robert Urbatsch: A♣A♥
Timothy Jenkins: J♦J♠
Urbatsch was in great position to win a massive pot and more than double up and the 9♥3♠3♦ flop didn't change that, but when the turn came the J♥, suddenly he needed one of the last two aces in the deck to survive.
The river was no such help, though, as it came the 7♠ and secured over a 2,000,000 chip pot for Jenkins to catapult him into the chip lead while Petroni and Urbatsch stood to head toward the exit.
