Nielsen Doubles With Quads Over Flush

Niveau 12 : Blinds 0/0, 2,500 ante
Martin Nielsen
Martin Nielsen

On a flop of Q96, Dong Chen and Martin Nielsen got all of the chips in the middle, with Nielsen at risk.

Martin Nielsen: 66
Dong Chen: 810

Nielsen was currently ahead with his set of sixes, but he was only a 55% favorite against Chen's massive straight and flush combo draw.

The turn came the 6, and Nielsen groaned as Chen hit the flush, but then he realized he had quad sixes! But he still wasn't out of the woods yet, as Chen could still hit the 7 or J for a straight flush.

Fortunately for Nielsen, the river came the brick Q and he scored a massive double-up from Chen.

The 7 completed the board and both played tapped the table to a showdown. Zamani rolled over 88 for a pair of eights, but Juanda tabled KQ for a full house to take the pot. Riess revealed AK as he made his way to the exit.

Chen Knocks Out Petitti

Niveau 12 : Blinds 0/0, 2,500 ante
Nicholas Petitti
Nicholas Petitti

Dong Chen opened to 11,000 preflop and Hong Wei Yu made the call as well as Nicholas Petitti, which put him all in.

Chen and Yu checked all the way to the 7KQ8A river, but then Yu exposed A10 before Chen had a chance to act.

Chen then bet 25,000 and Yu quickly folded.

"Well, that's probably not good for you," Tablemate Eric Wasserson said to Petitti as they waited for the other table to finish, "If you can't beat ace-ten, you are in bad shape, there is no reason for him to bluff, no side pot."

"I have straight," Chen told Petitti, who did not look too happy to hear that. When the floor came over the two tabled their cards. Nicholas Petitti showed A10 for the same hand as Yu but then Dong Chen tabled 69 for the bottom straight on the river to win the pot, eliminating Petitti near the bubble.

Juanda Calls Zamani's Bluff

Niveau 12 : Blinds 0/0, 2,500 ante

On a flop of AQ6, John Juanda led out for 15,000 and only Martin Zamani stuck around to see a turn K.

Juanda then checked and Zamani checked back for them to see the Q appear on the river. Juanda bet 28,000 but then Zamani announced a raise to 112,000 and the pressure was back on Juanda.

After about 15 seconds of thought, Juanda set out the chips to make the call.

"You're good," Zamani sighed and tossed out 98 for nine-high and Juanda then flipped over Q7 for trip queens to take down the substantial pot.
