Vertucci Plays It Slow Near the End
Niveau 10
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Nick Vertucci was in early position and called a pre-flop three-bet of 14,000 from an opponent in middle position.
The flop came 4♦7♠10♠ and Vertucci checked over to his opponent, who fired out another 11,000. Vertucci again called and checked the 9♣ turn.
His opponent slowed down and checked to the 6♥ river and Vertucci checked one more. The middle-position player took a sip from his drink before checking behind.
"I didn't really want to be doing this right now," Vertucci said as he opened up Q♠Q♣ to win the pot after his opponent mucked.
