Maceiras Lapido Sends Therme To The Rail

Juan Maceiras Lapido raised from the small blind and Jonathan Therme called out of the big blind. A first barrel by the Spaniard followed on the A♦9♥8♣ flop after which Therme called with some 2,800,000 behind.
Maceiras Lapido then splashed in nine of the new one million chips after the 6♦ turn and that sent Therme into the tank.
After several minutes, Adam Walton said "I know it's a big spot but I gonna call clock in a minute" and did so one minute later.
The thirty seconds ran down and Therme called at the last second.
