Chris Moorman and Aaron Tveit had already built a pot of around 5,000 heading to the turn on a board of 6♣2♥5♣A♠. Tveit, in the hijack, bet 4,500 and Moorman called.

The river came the A♦ and Tveit fired out another 10,000. Moorman tanked for about a minute before letting his hand go as Tveit, a Tony Award winning Broadway actor, showed him 6♦6♥ for a full house while taking in the early big pot.

The PokerNews team was called over to a table with a massive pot brewing. With close to 18,000 already in the middle on a board showing Q♣8♠2♠9♦, Mikolaj Zawadzki checked from the big blind to Jamie Smith in the hijack who bet 12,000.

Zawadzki tossed in chips for the call and the 5♥ completed the board. Zawadzki checked again and Smith moved all in for 44,000. Zawadzki went deep in the tank, contemplating his decision for more than four minutes, until eventually sliding his stack forward to make the call.

Smith tabled Q♥Q♦ for top set and Zawadzki looked sick as he rolled over 8♥8♦ for middle set as he made his way to the exit on the very first hand.

Action was caught after the turn of 7♦4♣J♦10♦ and Jens Hesse checked from under the gun. His opponent led out for 2,500 from late position and Hesse made the call.

The river came the 9♦ and both players quickly checked around.

His opponent showed Q♥Q♠, while Hesse revealed Q♦K♦ for a straight flush on the first hand of the tournament. Players from the table joked that "Hesse used his one time to early" as Hesse scooped the pot.
