The bubble has burst in Event #7: $500 Plo 8-Max. Jordan "Hfneon" Spurlin was the unfortunate bubble boy. There are currently 167 players remaining, all of whom are guaranteed at least a min-cash of $706, but will be vying for the top prize of $93,911 and a WSOP gold bracelet.

Matakis and Pohnke Collide in Titanic Pot

Niveau 15 : Blinds 1,250/2,500, 0 ante
Ian Matakis
Ian Matakis

Thomas "Pohnkemon" Pohnke opened from the hijack to 7,500 and received a call from Ian "IanMa" Matakis, the winner of Online Event #2: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Bankroll Builder.

Both players checked the 245 flop leading to the K on the turn. Pohnke bet 7,500 and Matakis raised to 30,312 and Pohnke three-bet to 109,686. Matakis moved all in for 135,038 and Pohnke called off with a covering stack to put Matakis at risk in a pot worth nearly 300,000.

Ian "IanMa" Matakis: AA73
Thomas "Pohnkemon" Pohnke" AAK3

Both players had made a wheel on the flop for the second-nuts, but Matakis was freerolling his opponent as he also had a gutshot to a higher straight. The 6 river was exactly what Matakis needed to take down a gargantuan pot and leave Pohnke with a short stack.

Zarco Finds a Double Up

Niveau 14 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Javier "BradCoultas" Zarco opened to 4,000 from under the gun and received a call from "Joji_" in the small blind.

The flop came 954 and "Joji_" checked. Zarco fired a 10,000 pot-sized bet and Joji_ reraised enough to put Zarco all in with a covering stack. Zarco made the call and was at risk.

Javier "BradCoultas" Zarco: A975
"Joji_": 9876

Zarcos had a made hand with two pair, nines and fives, but had to fade a lot of outs from "Joji_". The K turn and A river were bricks for "Joji_" and Zarco received a key double up.
