Greenblatt Flops a Set and Earns a Knockout

Niveau 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Anthony Marquez raised to 5,500 from the hijack, and the button player shoved all in for 21,000. Alex Greenblatt was sitting in the small blind, and he also shoved for around 55,000, which forced Marquez out of the pot.

Button: KQ All in

Alex Greenblatt: 99

It was all but over on the 893 flop as Greenblatt improved to top set and left his opponent needing two running cards to survive. No help arrived on the 76 runout, which meant Greenblatt was pushed the pot, and he scored the knockout.

In a blind versus blind battle, Ben Lamb bet 4,000 on a flop of 595 and Johnny Chan called in the big blind.

Both players checked the 5 turn and the A fell on the river. Lamb then bet 12,000.

Chan tanked for around 30 seconds before calling. Lamb then showed Q3 for a bluff, and Chan turned over K10 to win the pot with king-high.

"Johnny, that's a hell of a call," a tablemate said as the Poker Hall of Famer and two-time Main Event champion took the pot.

Frank Funaro and Tristan Wade are also at this table with above-average stacks.
