Kessler checked dark and Thorpe checked behind. Thorpe turned over K♠9♦7♥2♣ for a king-nine.
"No good," replied Kessler as he showed 8♥6♦4♠3♣ for an eight-six.
"That was a very sad outcome," Thorpe lamented after the hand.
"For me yeah," Kessler replied "I should have got more money."
