Spinella Flops Quads

Niveau 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Anthony Spinella raised from under the gun to 16,000, the cutoff called with 81,000 behind, and Alex Keating called in the big blind.

The flop of QQK checked around, and the trio went to a turn, which landed the 6. Keating checked, Spinella bet 12,000, the cutoff called and Keating got out of the way.

On the J river, Spinella moved all in, putting himself at risk, and the cutoff called. The cutoff tabled Ax10x for a straight, but fell to the QQ of Spinella, who flopped quads. The cutoff was left with a single 1,000 denomination chip.

Lawson Turns a Set

Niveau 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

A player in early position raised to 18,000, which was called by Ted Lawson in middle position. It folded to the hijack who moved all in for about 200,000 chips. It folded back to the original raiser who sat in the tank for about a minute, before laying his hand down. However, Lawson decided to make the call for his last 30,000 chips.

Ted Lawson: 44 All in
Hijack: QQ

Lawson was in desperate shape after the 10AJ flop ran out. Lawson was getting up from his seat to leave the tournament area, when the 4 came on the turn. He immediately sat back down and the 10 on the river improved him to a full house, and more than doubled his stack.

Middle position checked, but Steinberg raised the stakes to 15,000. Middle position folded and Steinberg showed 55 for the flush.
