Ryan Lashmar
Ryan Lashmar
Niveau 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Walter Chambers opened to 475,000 from the small blind and Caleb Furth defended from the big blind.

Both players checked the 8♣5♦3♦ flop leading to the 5♣ turn. Chambers bet 650,000 and Furth called.

Chambers bet again for 900,000 on the 6♦ river. Furth took a minute to weigh his options, counting out the remaining chips that he would have if he called and got scooped. Shortly afterwards he made the call.

Furth tabled A♠8♥9♥9♦ for an overpair and eight-six low. Chambers showed down A♣Q♦J♠5♠ for trip fives and the same low to take three quarters of the pot.

Both players checked on the K♥ river and Chambers turned over K♣6♣2♠2♦ for kings-full. Furth couldn’t beat it and mucked — conceding the pot to Chambers.

Furth check-called another bet from Gan on the 8♣ turn, this time for 300,000.

On the 10♠ river Furth led out with a bet of 1,300,000. Gan thought for about a minute before sending his hand into the muck and Furth took the pot without showdown.

Niveau 30 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Caleb Furth opened to 375,000 on the button and was called by Walter Chambers in the big blind.

Both players checked on the Q♣4♦4♥ flop and then Chambers led out for 700,000 on the 8♥ turn. Furth called.

The 5♦ completed the board and Chambers announced a pot-sized bet, which was quickly called by Furth.

Chambers tabled K♥Q♥Q♠3♠ for queens-full of fours, which was good for the scoop against Furth’s A♥J♣8♦4♠ for an inferior full house.

The $25K Fantasy league is off to a hot start with seven of the 19 teams over 100 points as of June 4. Most of those were thanks to a handful of draftees hitting field bonuses in Event #5: $1,000 Mystery Millions, which attracted 18,409 entrants and became the sixth-largest poker tournament of all time.

PokerNews has been tracking $25K Fantasy players in our live updates, and has even made it simple to follow the action by tagging all players with a $25K Fantasy badge. That allows you to utilize our chip count filter option to follow only those players (just tick the $25K Fantasy badge); what’s more, each blog will have a “$25K Fantasy” tab that if you click all you will see are hands played by $25K Fantasy players.

As a result, we can capture some of the biggest, best, and most game-changing hands involving the $25K Fantasy roster. Here are five from the first week of action in the 2024 WSOP.
