John Hennigan Wins 7th WSOP Bracelet

It had been 14 years since anyone crossed the six-bracelet milestone, the last being Men "The Master" Nguyen. However, John Hennigan has now broken that streak, winning his seventh bracelet in Event #7: $1,500 Dealer's Choice at the 2024 World Series of Poker.

Hennigan defeated Robert Wells after a brief heads-up duel. With the win, Hennigan became only the ninth player to join the seven-bracelet club.

"It's Interesting to know, I guess, just like any other number" Hennigan commented when asked about the accolade. "Very happy to win the tournament. I mean to me, the best thing about winning the tournament is not losing it. Not getting second or knowing they're still playing and wandering around after you go broke. It's just very satisfying to come out on top."

Martin Zamani's table was the first to get to heads up, but the heads-up portion of play lasted for a while and meanwhile, Jaskaran Brar from another table managed to be the first player to advance to Day 2. Eventually, Zamani beat out his opponent to be the second player to make it through to Day 2.

An interesting hand between Zamani and his opponent took place a few hands before claiming the win where Zamani raised to 2,000 from the small blind and got a call from his opponent in the big blind.

The flop came A7A and the big blind bet out 2,000. Zamani raised to 5,000 which got a swift fold from the opponent.

As Zamani scooped the pot, he remarked "I didn't have an ace or anything, I had nines".

"Good Check on the Turn"

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Kyle Mizell was on the button and raised to 2,000 and the player in the big blind made the call. The flop came out as 8109 and the big blind checked and Mizell bet out 2,500. The big blind went for the check-raise to 6,500. Mizell made the call.

Both players checked the turn 6.

The action was intense on the river 10 when the big blind bet out 17,000 and Mizell shoved in his stack for 65,000. The big blind thought long and hard before making the call.

The big blind mucked when Mizell flipped over JQ for the straight.

The big blind stated, 'Good check on the turn, nice hand".

Ceille Takes On Table

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

All three remaining players at the table were in the hand on a 2Q10 flop.

All players checked to a 8 turn and the small blind bet 3,000, getting a call from Jeremy Ceille in the big blind and the button.

The 4 river prompted the small blind to bet 2,000, which got another two calls from Ceille and the button.

Jeremy Ceille called out "two pair" as he turned over 10xQx to win, as the big blind showed Ax9x while the small blind mucked his hand.
