Smith’s Stack Soars after Knockout, then Cracking Kings
Niveau 27
: Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Moments after sending Hugo Nazar to the rail with 5♦5♥ against 2♠2♦, Shawn Smith found himself in another big hand.
After facing a three-bet from Mikael Anderson, Smith responded with a four-bet, moving all in for 3,075,000 against Anderson, who had Smith covered. Anderson immediately called to bloat the pot.
Shawn Smith: A♣J♣
Mikael Anderson: K♠K♥
The dealer fanned 9♠3♥2♠ on the flop, keeping Anderson in the lead. The turn, however, put Smith ahead when A♥ appeared. The dealer placed 7♠ on the river, which provided Smith a boost to his stack and crippled Anderson.
