Everyone Loves a Chopped Pot

Niveau 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

It all started when Jacob Gagnon raised to 1,000 from late position and both the button and Jon Peck, from the big blind, made the call.

The flop came out 442 and action checked to the button who bet 1,100. Peck then raised to 5,000 and after Gagnon called the button folded.

The turn was 10 and Peck bet 9,000 all in. Gagnon made the call and both players turned over their hands.

Jon Peck: AQ43All in
Jacob Gagnon: A543

They were already chopping with trip fours, ace kicker, then the A on the river gave both players fours full of aces, delivering a chopped pot.

Not A Bad First Hand

Niveau 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action picked up after a player in the cutoff raised to 600 and was called by the players on the button and in the small blind. Rous Marek then three-bet to 3,300 and was called by the cutoff. The button and small blind folded and the players were heads-up.

The flop came out A2K and Marek bet 6,500 which his opponent called. The 9 came out on the turn and Marek shoved all in. His opponent tanked briefly before making the call. Both players had identical stacks and therefore were both at risk.

Cutoff: QJJ3All in
Rous Marek: AAJ5All in

The river was the 9, improving Marek's top set to a full house, and the player in the cutoff was eliminated.

"Not a bad first hand," remarked Marek's table mate.
