Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2024 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.

Giddyap, folks! Event #35: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. (8-Handed) is about to get underway here at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas.

This mixed-game event will start at 2 p.m., and late registration will remain available until the end of nine 40-minute levels. There will be a 15-minute break every three levels, and the day is expected to end after level 15.

Players will start with 25,000 in chips. If they have any chips remaining at the end of Day 1, they will reconvene for Day 2 at
1 p.m. on June 13.

Last year's winner Yuri Dzivielevski beat a record field of 836 players. He took on Randy Ohel heads-up, winning $207,678 from a prize pool of $1,116,060. Perhaps this year can beat those numbers.

Dzivielevski expressed some doubts about his mixed game skills in his interview with PokerNews, "I'm working a lot on my game, so I don't know exactly what is my best game, to be honest. Like, results show that limit hold'em is my best game, but I'm not sure—maybe it is?" However, his skills were certainly good enough last year. If he returns this year, we'll see if he can pull it off again.
