Naoya Kihara Eliminated in 23rd Place ($25,340)
Niveau 20
: Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Michael Rocco raised to 60,000 in the cutoff and was called by Naoya Kihara in the small blind.
The flop was spread 2♥9♦J♣ and Kihara checked to Rocco. The latter fired a bet of 175,000, after which Kihara went all in for around 600,000 chips total. Rocco made a quick call as the cards hit their backs.
Naoya Kihara: Q♥J♥J♦5♥2♦
Michael Rocco: A♣9♠8♠6♦4♥
Kihara had a big lead with his set of jacks, and the Q♠ turn did not change anything. The 10♣ river did, however, as Rocco made a straight to the queen to rake in the pot and eliminate the final Japanese player standing.
