Pedro Neves opened to 3,000,000 from the hijack, and Alex Abariotes shoved for 8,500,000 on the button. Fausto Valdez made the call out of the big blind, and Neves shoved all in behind. Valdez quickly called.

Valdez was in a great spot to almost triple-up but the flop of 7♦3♥Q♠ dampened his plans as Neves improved to top set. Abariotes needed running cards to survive and was half way there when the 5♣ hit the turn as any four would complete his straight. However, the 9♦ river was a brick which meant both Abariotes and Valdez were eliminated.
