Mantel Takes From Matusow
Niveau 3
: Blinds 200/400, 0 ante
Mike Matusow had just taken his seat in the tournament when he found himself tangled in a hand with Ariel Mantel.
Action was picked up on the flop in a pot between Mantel in the big blind and Matusow in the hijack. The flop read 9♦K♦J♥ and both players checked to the 2♦ turn that saw Mantel check to Matusow who bet and Mantel called.
On the river 10♣ Mantel took the betting lead and Matusow called asking "Flush?"
Mantel nodded and turned over J♦J♣5♥3♦ for a flush. Matusow nodded and flashed 7♦5♦ for an inferior flush as he mucked his hand, ceding the pot to Mantel.
